Bloody Piggy Bank - Keep Out!

This is kind of funny. In an attempt to keep people out of their piggy banks, the folks at Yanko have designed a gruesome bank complete with bloody piggy parts, on the inside only, of course.

Definition of Budget

Besides the dictionary version of Budget, there's the one below. While said tongue-in-cheek, it is not far from reality for the majority. Many a truth are spoken in jest!

The 12 Days of Christmas - A-Cappella

Here's a little "holiday" cheer for you... But I won't be wishing these folks a Merry Tossmas, even though it is not strictly a Christmas-only act. Nice work by Straight No Chaser.

Better-than-Bad Investment Advice...

If you had purchased $1000.00 of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. With Enron, you would have had $16.50 left of the original $1000.00. With WorldCom, you would have had less than $5.00 left. If you had purchased $1000 of Delta Air Lines stock you would have $49.00 left.

But, if you had purchased $1,000.00 worth of beer one year ago, drank all the beer, then turned in the cans for the aluminum recycling REFUND, You would have had $214.00.

Based on the above, the best current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

It's called the 401-Keg Plan :)

MasterCard Pep Talks - Take II

Here's another very funny ad that Mastercard paid a lot of money for, no doubt, but doesn't say anything about their product. Here's another one I posted earlier.

Count on Social Security?

This is too funny... or not.

I found this while digging through my files looking for my kids birth certificates that they needed to sign-up for baseball... The post-mark is November 1, 1997. I don't know what the state of social security was in 1997, but it still rings wrong to me.

Dave Ramsey Gets Callers From Everywhere!

I've been listening to the Dave Ramsey Show for a couple years now. Since I'm not able to pick-up the local radio station from my desk... not to mention that I'm usually too busy at work to get the whole show in, I download the MP3s (without commercials) from www.MyTMMO.com and listen when I have time. I supposed I could listen to the live stream that is offered on his site, but, again, I would not be able to get the whole show in... So I do the MP3 thing.

What's cool about all these listening options is that so many people can listen to the show. Not just from a town where a local radio station plays the show, but from anywhere in the world where Internet access is available.

There was a caller the other day that was calling from the most bizarre location I've heard to date. Click the play button to hear the call. If you can figure it out before the call is over!

MasterCard Pep Talks - What is this about anyway?

Once you watch this ad you might find yourself asking what the thing was about! They don't say anything about their product or service... These ads are just a form of branding... They are not about anything in particular, just about getting the MasterCard brand out in front of as many people as possible - also putting a celebrity's face on the ad makes people who like said celebrity (hopefully) feel loyalty to the brand being pushed.

All that aside, these are very funny ads.
