Staycation Is All I Ever Wanted

Isn't that how the song goes? Looking into a new trend this summer and popular trend for those really trying to get out of debt fast.
So what is a staycation?
According to the Urban Dictionary: A vacation that is spent at one's home enjoying all that home and one's home environs have to offer.
About 50 percent of American travelers are changing their summer travel plans because of soaring fuel prices and sticking closer to home, according to a recent survey by the travel Web site TripAdvisor.
Folks that have received budget training, particularly from Dave Ramsey, don't go on vacations if they are battling debt. That would be the carrot to get rid of the debt along with a peace of mind.
To still make it seem like a regular vacation, you should schedule start and end dates. Otherwise, it runs the risk of feeling like just another string of nights in front of the tube.
Staycation Tips:
-Pack that time with activities. Plan a daily activity, and make sure something takes you out of the house for fun.
-Declare "no chores" Don't make the bed, vacuum, clean out the closets, or pull weeds. You're on vacation!
-Take staycation photos or videos, just as you would if you went away from home for your vacation.
Here are a few ideas on what to do for a staycation.
