It was created by the three nationwide consumer credit reporting companies Equifax, Experian and TransUnion. You are entitled to receive one free credit report every 12 months from each of the nationwide consumer credit reporting companies. The site remembers when you retrieved your last copy, so be sure to date your copy for future reference. This free credit report can be requested through the website, by phone or by mail.
