How to get back in the groove after a long year-end break.

Trent over at thesimpledollar.com posted a really good article about how to get the momentum back after being on vacation since before the holidays - a very common thing for people to deal with.

He lists five good ideas to make the beginning of your work-year more productive.

I'd like to add two of my favorites:

1) Besides just walking at lunch, I like to get up from my desk every hour on the hour and walk around the office one time. This is very important if you spend all day behind a computer desk. Find a buddy in the office to do this with and keep score as to how many times per day and the winner each week buys the other lunch (a salad, of course) - something like that would help keep each other motivated.

2) Drink lots of water all day long! Besides giving you a reason to getup every hour (to go to the bathroom), it also helps keep the kidney stones away... a subject very near and dear to my heart (er, kidney)... but that's a story for another time.
